World Wide Trekking’s staff of highly trained professional guides is here to make your journey as safe and secure as possible. All of our Western Guides are medically certified and have abundant experience using their training in mountainous environments.

Our safety standards are based on the experiences of our founder, Dean Cardinale, managing risk in some of the world’s most hostile environments. We bring those same safety standards and risk management strategies to all of our trips, from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to island-hopping in the Caribbean.

Working with local professionals and communities enables us to provide a unique perspective on the places we visit and the people we meet along the way.

When Dean founded World Wide Trekking he vowed that we would have a positive impact on the local communities we operate in. The Human Outreach Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was conceived on the premise that trekkers could – and should – give back to the communities in which they travel.

HOP works in areas surrounding World Wide Trekking expedition sites in remote areas of Tanzania, Nepal, Peru and at home in Utah. With a particular focus on youth, HOP partners with communities to identify local needs and co-create sustainable solutions to improve health and education.
