World Wide Trekkings Commitment to Health and Well-being

Traveling with World Wide Trekking is as it has always been, the safety and well-being of our guests and team members remains our highest priority. With the recent heightened awareness for sanitation and health standards, we wanted to share with you our commitment to a hygienic environment. It is our mission that our guests feel comfortable, stay healthy and have a calm sense of well-being when they are traveling with us on any international or domestic adventure.

We Have Confidence in Our Team

Our Guides & Food Preparation

All of our guides are medically certified with years of practical experience. World Wide Trekking guides hold a Utah food handlers permit and are responsible for overseeing our food services, restaurant facilities and hygiene operations daily. We are currently training our teams on the updated CDC and WHO safety guidelines. We will continue to hold ourselves to the highest sanitation standards during all of our adventures. The health and safety of our guests and team are paramount on all of our trips.

Vehicle Support & Equipment

On our journey’s, our vehicle support is critical to guest enjoyment and safety. Our vehicles and every piece of gear will get a daily cleaning along with all surfaces of our equipment that guests come into contact with. In remote areas, communication is constant, using our satellite communications system, via InReach global communicator and satellite phones.

Hotels

World Wide Trekking partners with premium properties across the globe. The hotels and service providers that we work with, share our commitment to health and hygiene. We always assist in hotel registrations by checking in for our guests and providing them with their room key so they do not need to navigate reception and the check-in process. Our local operations or guides arrive at our hotel destination prior to our guests to ensure they are ready for our groups arrival.

Being Prepared

Keeping Up to Date

We are in constant contact with our overseas Operations Managers, checking in on any travel updates. Our team is staying up to date on the latest travel news. As we continue to receive travel updates, we will send our guests, signed on for a trip, an email informing them on any changes they may need to know about. Family members at home are able to reach our travelers through a dedicated trip manager at WWTrek HQ.

Prepared and Trained Guides

Our office is prepared for any emergencies that could take place. World Wide Trekking has partnered with Ripcord Rescue Travel Insurance where you can protect your trip in the event that an evacuation/emergency occur. Our guides are trained and have a protocol they follow if any health issues arise. All guides and guests will receive a medical check upon arrival. A thermal temperature greater than 100 would prevent a guest or guide from participating in the trip. Daily medical checks are made to ensure our guests are healthy throughout their trip. Guides have 24/7 medical consultation services from the field, directly to Ripcord Rescue medical advisors, while they are in remote areas.

Arriving and Staying Healthy

For many years we have been doing daily medical checks monitoring our guests pulse o2, temperature, eating and sleeping habits, and their general health status. These daily medical evaluations help our guides monitor each individual guest so they can address any health concerns immediately.

WWTrek Local Resources

On all of our trips, while our groups are in the field, on the mountain, or in remote areas, we have a dedicated Operations Manager that stays behind at our starting point, in the event that any guest needs assistance. Our Operations Manager is there to use local resources to assist our team in the event an evacuation needs to take place.
