WWTrek Activity Ratings

At World Wide Trekking, the safety and success of our guests are of the utmost importance. With this in mind, we have identified an activity rating for each of our treks, serving as a guide to our guests to help select a trek that is best suited for their goals and abilities. We are all for challenging yourself and selecting an activity rating that might be slightly over your head. This is why we provide in-depth fitness and nutrition planning guides ahead of your adventure. If you have any questions, our TEAM of Adventure Specialists are always here to help!

Trips rated EASY ACTIVE were curated for guests who love adventure and want to experience breathtaking views from infamous mountain peaks but also want the feeling that they’ve been on a rejuvenating vacation. Trips with this rating include an abundance of daily activities (1-3 dedicated hours a day) from sailing to safaris, custom itineraries, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, and hikes (typically lift-assisted and less than 3 miles) while allowing plenty of time for shopping, visiting ancient ruins, and immersing yourself in the rich culture that will surround you.

Trips with a MODERATE rating are fit for guests interested in up to 6 hours of activity each day, with hikes upwards of 8 miles on rolling or mountainous terrain. These trips allow for plenty of comfort and exploration of the cultures and villages surrounding you in the afternoons and evenings. There is room for modification if needed on these trips as they are mostly hotel-based hikes.

We recommend guests follow our gear list closely and contact us with questions. Taking on a fitness and nutrition training plan will help ensure you are prepared for MODERATE Treks.

For trips rated STRENUOUS, we suggest guests follow a training routine before embarking on their trek. These treks usually consist of 8+ hours of activity each day and face more mountainous, exposed terrain, with steep ascents and descents included. With these trails often exceeding 14,000 feet in elevation, we recommend guests follow our gear list closely and contact us with questions. Taking on a fitness and nutrition training plan will help ensure you are prepared for STRENUOUS Treks.
